Product information "NUX NDD-7 Tape echo"

The NUX NDD-7 Tape Echo is a tribute to the Japanese Space Echo of 1974. Analogue tape echo units record incoming audio signals onto a magnetic tape loop and then play the endless loop back via the playback head before it is erased by new incoming audio. The Space Echo units used the common 1/4-inch tape, but it wasn’t mounted on reels — it ran loose in a so-called tape chamber (tape tank). This design results in lower noise, fewer pitch fluctuations and reduced tape wear. NUX TAPE ECHO uses Core-Image technology to reproduce these characteristics. The highly detailed pedal offers many adjustable parameters such as Bass, Treble, Repeat Rate, Intensity, Echo, Volume and Reverb, as well as physical tape characteristics like Wow, Flutter and Saturation. Even self-regeneration and self-oscillation can be adjusted.
