These days the guys at Göldo are the leading minds when it comes to innovative hardware. Göldo claims to have learned from a reliable source, that Ted McCarty's very first Tune-O-Matic bridge was originally equipped with a small spring for each saddle, but that this idea was then rejected in favor of the infamous continuous "jiggling spring". Göldo has taken up this idea again with the 3-Point Vario Bridge and has transformed the original mechanically unconvincing variant into a mechanical masterpiece. The string saddles are made of stainless steel, which ensures long durability and the best transmission of vibrations. The string saddles rest on three points (hence the name! ) and the screw for octave adjustment does not touch the opposite side of the bridge, so that the entire construction is absolutely "rattle-free". One of the two milled slots for the retaining bolts is oval, and a grub screw is used to adjust the bolt spacing – this means that the 3-Point Vario bridge fits almost all guitars equipped with a conventional Tune-O-Matic bridge!

Arrived safely and quickly (UK). I dropped it straight it on my blacktop jaguar and it definitely added snap to the sound with noticeable improvement in overtones. Even my girl friend commented. One star down for features only because it’s not offered in 9.5 inch radius, but it’s close enough and I can always get jiggy with my nut files if it does bother me.
