Since its introduction in 1970 the Minimoog Model D has been in a class of its own. As the world’s first portable, immediately playable analogue keyboard synthesizer, it established the synthesizer as an indispensable creative tool for musicians and brought the Moog sound to a wide audience. None of this would, of course, have been possible without Bob Moog himself.
The Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D celebrates the technology and imagination of early electronic musical instrument design. This limited edition preserves the iconic sound and spirit of the Minimoog Model D and features a 100% analogue circuit, modern functional updates from the 2022 reissue of the instrument, a custom cabinet made from quarter-sawn oak, a unique rear decal and an included SR-series transport case.
Each Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D synthesizer is hand-assembled at Moog’s production facility in North Carolina. Only 500 units of this edition will be produced and offered for sale. To honour Bob Moog’s legacy and to continue supporting the future of synthesizer education and innovation, US$500 from each instrument sold will be donated to the Bob Moog Foundation.

o Mixer feedback modification allowing the Minimoog Model D to overdrive and "scream" with a twist of the knob
o Spring-loaded pitch wheel with a dead zone in the centre
