Kawai Novus NV6
Kawai Novus NV6
The new generation of the hybrid piano
The Kawai Novus NV6 combines the best of both worlds: the authentic touch of an acoustic piano with the flexibility and technology of a modern digital instrument. As the successor to the popular NV5S, the NV6 brings numerous improvements in sound, operation and connectivity – setting new standards in the hybrid piano class.
Sound that inspires
At the heart of the NV6 is the renowned Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, captured digitally with the utmost precision. The latest SK-EX Competition Edition was recorded from the pianist's perspective and impresses with its bright, clear touch and extraordinary dynamics. Together with the warm elegance of the traditional SK-EX sound, it creates a tonal palette that inspires every musician.
Thanks to the advanced SK-EX Rendering Engine, the NV6 combines high-quality sampling with physical modelling – delivering a sound that responds vividly to every nuance of your playing. A specially developed dual DAC system and a refined speaker system with soundboard speaker provide an impressive fullness of tone that unfolds in the room with clarity, balance and spatial depth.
A playing feel like a real concert grand
The heart of the NV6 is the Millennium III Hybrid action, inspired by Kawai's renowned acoustic instruments. It features extended wooden keys, authentic weighting and precisely crafted hammers made from ABS resin – all aimed at conveying the authentic feel of a concert grand.
Instead of physical strings, optical high-performance sensors capture every tiny movement with the highest accuracy. This creates a realistic playing response that handles fast runs, trills or delicate pianissimo with ease – ideal for demanding pianists.
Real Damper Mechanism
The NV6 is one of the few digital pianos with a genuine acoustic damper mechanism. This technical masterpiece transmits the subtle physical feedback of a real piano – from the resistance when pressing the pedal to the damper's rebound.
The result: an incomparably realistic playing feel that you not only hear but also feel.
Modern technology that excites
The redesigned touchscreen with an anti-glare, matt surface blends seamlessly into the elegant design. It enables intuitive control of all functions – from voice selection to advanced settings – and can be switched off completely if you want to avoid distractions while playing.
With Bluetooth MIDI & Audio 5.0, the NV6 offers extremely low latency and top-quality sound for wireless playing or streaming. A USB-C port and an integrated USB audio interface allow easy connection to computers and mobile devices – for high-quality recordings or direct audio transfer with just one cable.
Design & craftsmanship
The slim cabinet of the NV6 is manufactured in the same piano workshop as Kawai's acoustic “K”-series. The ebony high-gloss finish and the finely curved lines give it a timeless aesthetic. With a depth of just 46 cm, the NV6 fits harmoniously into any living space – while still offering a full acoustic playing experience.
Particularly stylish: the speaker grille is made from a high-quality acoustic fabric by Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat – a refined detail that makes the instrument a real eye-catcher.
Connectivity & comfort
Whether via Bluetooth, USB or traditional connections – the Novus NV6 is ready for any environment. It can be easily connected to music apps, used for audio streaming or as a professional recording tool.
Thanks to state-of-the-art digital technology, the NV6 is always ready to play, maintenance-free and virtually silent with headphones – ideal for musicians who want to play day or night.
The best of both worlds
The Kawai Novus NV6 is not an ordinary digital piano. It is a hybrid masterpiece that perfectly combines tradition and innovation: the precision of a real grand, the tonal richness of a concert instrument and the convenience of cutting-edge technology.
Experience the authentic acoustic piano feel – in a form that fits any home.
