The Ibanez SLM10 in detail
About Scott LePage
In 2011 Scott LePage founded the band Polyphia together with his co-guitarist Tim Henson, bassist Clay Gober, drummer Brandon Burkhalter and singer Lane Duskin. Later that same year the group released their debut EP Resurrect. A year later singer Lane Duskin left the band and Polyphia continued as an instrumental group. From the start Scott LePage and his distinctive playing technique were a cornerstone of the Polyphia sound. After another EP the band released their debut album Muse in 2014 via crowdfunding. Polyphia were subsequently signed to Equal Vision Records and reissued the debut album in 2015. In autumn 2015 the band toured the US supporting Invent, Animate and headliner Erra. In 2022 the band released their fourth studio album to date, Remember That You Will Die, which features guest musicians including Steve Vai. The album climbed to number 33 on the US album charts. Online magazine Loudwire included Remember That You Will Die on their list of the 50 best rock and metal albums of 2022 and named Playing God Song of the Year 2022.
Elegant looks, modern sound
The Ibanez Scott LePage Signature is based on Ibanez's classic AZ models and features an ash body and a roasted maple neck. The S-TECH special roasting increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and resilience against temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish, which helps it feel as if it's already been broken in. With the Luminlay Side Dots you'll always find the right fret even on dark stages. Scott LePage was given his own signature pickup set by DiMarzio, which is also used in the SLM10: the DiMarzio SLM Original HSS set delivers the sound Polyphia is known for. The gold-plated Gotoh hardware in the form of locking tuners and a T1502 tremolo always ensures precise tuning and intonation. The visual highlight is of course the flamed maple top on the basswood body. The Ibanez SLM10 is delivered in a sturdy gigbag.

The Japanese instrument maker Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass construction. Although Ibanez initially made a name for itself with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from makers like Gibson and Fender, its own series gradually emerged, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s the company became particularly well known in the heavy sector with instruments that stood out for their modern features, distinctive design and excellent playability. Innovations such as 7- and 8-string guitars, born from fruitful collaborations with artists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, further helped to establish Ibanez's strong reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, from entry-level guitars and basses to exotic Custom Shop models. In addition, Ibanez also impresses in the field of effects and amplifiers, as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. Here you'll find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
