Ibanez PIA

The electric guitars in the PIA series follow in the large footsteps of the JEM series, which for years have been among the best models produced by Ibanez. Considering that the instruments’ development more or less began with Steve Vai sketching the legendary RG guitar shape on a used napkin, it’s remarkable what they’ve ultimately become.

With each new iteration, the product developers around mastermind Steve Vai succeed in combining distinctive aesthetics and incredible performance into absolute high-end electric guitars and bringing them to stages around the world.

Highlights of the PIA series over the years include, alongside the typical RG shape and the now teardrop-shaped cutaways in the body (no longer the old 'grip' shape), striking colours and finishes, the Edge tremolo system, and recurring details such as the Tree-Of-Life fretboard inlays invented by Steve Vai.
