Acoustic Music Books Acoustic Rock Café · Music Notes

In the “Acoustic Rock Café” the menu contains 14 original compositions, a blend inspired by artists such as Sting, Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, Bob Marley and Mark Knopfler, but also by Coldplay, Elliott Smith, Nirvana and many other artists who have wormed their way into the author’s musical memory. Each of these songs has the potential to become one of your personal number one hits, if you’ll let it. Sometimes easy, sometimes slightly more difficult, but always stylistically and musically well grounded, these pieces offer the opportunity to discover new aspects of playing technique. Whether independent rock, ballads, hard rock, folk, reggae or pop – each composition is designed to replace a whole band and give you the chance to shine as a soloist. The highpoints have to be Jesse Harris’ “Don’t Know Why”, which was made popular by Norah Jones, and Bruce Hornsby’s “The Way It Is”, both of which were transcribed by the author.
