The traditional German company W. Schreiber looks back on a long history. In 1946 Wenzel Schreiber, who originated from Egerland, and his sons Hugo and Ernst founded a company for the production of wood wind instruments in Nauheim. At the beginning repairing was the central feature of business, but from 1951 the manufacture of self-made instruments also played a leadiong role.

Schreiber´s product range ran from clarinets, oboes and fagots to flutes. The traditional craftmanship and high manufacture quality was highly appreciated by musicians at the time. Today the company Schreiber has a very good reputation in the music branch worldwide.

Like no other wood wind instrument builder W. Schreiber unites traditional art & crafts of clarinet building with modern technologies. New tools, carefully chosen accuracy machines, well-educated employees, and, last but not least, the deep intuition for sound and play have made W. Schreibr one of the leading clarinet builders worldwide.
