Taylor GS Mini E Koa

Some time ago Taylor Guitars released a limited edition, the Taylor GS Mini E Koa onto the market, creating a premium version of the popular GS miniseries. The blanket of Hawaiian Koa, the back and sides made of laminated Koa, give this guitar not only a stunning look but tonally that certain something.

The Taylor GS Mini E Koa has become part of the normal product range, but is only available in limited quantities due to the incorporated limit of resources of suitable Koa wood.

Hawaiian Koa is probably the most striking of all tone woods: breathtakingly beautiful, distinctive, good sounding quality and because of the low availability very exclusive. Production of Taylor Koa Series is like no other, depending on the availability of a specific timber in a specified quality. Koa is extremely rare and grows in the quality required by Taylor, only above 1,600 meters in Hawaii. These trees are also mostly privately owned and is difficult and expensive to purchase.

The Mini Grand Symphony body shape is very handy and makes the Taylor GS Mini the ideal companion to go without having to make difficult compromises. The GS-Mini has a balanced tone and outstanding playability.

The GS Mini Mahogany is the perfect guitar on the go, whether live on stage, at the campfire, on the porch or on the couch! With the slightly reduced body of the award winning Grand Symphony the GS mini offers a lot of sound in a comfortable size (total length 930 mm, body width 365 mm, body depth 113 mm). The GS Mini can be played very well and their sound needs not hide behind other Taylor guitars in spite of their smaller body size.

The Taylor GS Mini series has gathered a huge fan base in the past five years and the demand continues to grow further. With their small size the Mini has indisputably something inviting, especially considering the impressive sound that jumps into life after striking the first chord. This blend of handling and musicality has proven to be a winning combination that fits into almost any life scenario, from the couch to the campfire to the concert. The shorter 23.5 "scale length makes it very easy to play chords.

The Taylor GS Mini series comprises of several variations:

GS-Mini with a solid Sitka spruce top, and the GS Mini Mahogany with a solid mahogany top.

All guitars Taylor GS Mini Seire have ebony fingerboards, the patented Taylor-neck (screw-neck-body connection) mahogany and a charming natural finished and are delivered with gig bag.
