Tube-TechTUBE-TECH has been around for 40 years. And over the years, more than 15,000 Blue Units have been delivered by Lydkraft, Denmark.
The company behind the blueTUBE-TECHunits.
Lydkraft was founded in 1977 in Denmark by John G. Petersen and two partners.
The company originally served the PA market, but turned away from that business in 1980 when John Petersen took over the company and focused on the design, development and manufacture of direct boxes, mixing consoles and loudspeaker systems.
Due to the declining sound quality of modern studio consoles, the demand for high quality vintage tube equipment increased and John decided to begin designing his own equipment in 1984. John's fascination with classic, high-quality analog sound led him to develop the TUBE-TECH line of all-tube signal processing equipment.
The first tube-based device to bear the Tube-Tech name was the PE 1A Program Equalizer, which shipped in 1985.
Over the years, TUBE-TECH devices have earned a fantastic reputation in the audio industry. The CL1B compressor has become a world standard and the SMC2B has earned a reputation as the leader in analog multiband compressors.
Today, it's hard to find a major studio anywhere in the world that doesn't own a TUBE-TECH. Thanks to John Petersen's commitment to high-quality analog sound, you'll see Tube-Tech gear in the racks of many pro audio legends.
