The Echoplex® EP-3 Tape Echo is famed for its delicately warm, organic modulation and sweet, musical delays - a key component of some of the most iconic guitar sounds of the 60s and 70s. However, the original EP-3 is heavy, expensive and extremely temperamental, in addition to being the size of an old VCR (if you remember those icons of the 90s...)
This is where the new EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in - it's just the size of a Phase 90 and gives you exactly the legendary delay sounds of the original with simple controls.
The EP103 has a delay time of 4-750ms delay time and offers a completely analogue hi-fi dry path with a massive 20 volts of headroom thanks to the built-in Constant Headroom Technology™.
With the tap tempo input, the delay time can even be increased to up to 4 seconds. The Echoplex Delay also offers an internally switchable stereo mode via stereo.
The Age mode is where the pedal really comes to life: here the repeats are "aged" and take on an increasingly darker tone.
