Ampeg Venture® Series amplifiers and speaker cabinets offer functionality and the modern sound bassists are looking for - continuing a tradition of innovation that dates back to the early days of electric bass. The Venture VB-88 is designed specifically for bassists looking for the performance and looks of the legendary SVT810 speaker cabinet, but in a more compact and modern sounding version. Combined with a Venture V7 or Venture V12 amplifier, a single VB-88 moves enough air to shake the rafters of almost any venue. Two of them can handle even the largest venues. The VB-88 weighs just 30 kg and has a rated output of 800 watts RMS/1600 watts programme (4 Ω). It is equipped with eight individually tuned 8-inch Lavoce® neodymium woofers and a variable tweeter. This stylish speaker is ruggedly constructed and covered in carbon fibre-style Tolex, so it stands up to gig after gig while being one of the lightest 8x8 bass cabinets on the market. An optional Portaflex®-style front grille offers an aesthetic alternative, while an optional padded cover protects your investment.
