Master Keyboard

The classical master keyboards have 88 keys, no sound of their own generation, but several MIDI inputs and outputs have. A MIDI-Keyboard can be programmed extensively to control or combine individually other sound modules, often rack synthesizers, especially on stage. To this purpose the keyboard is splittable into various zones, which then send to different MIDI-channels or
-outputs. Due to the production of computer-based music another type of master keyboards has developed, the USB keyboard. It primarily controls virtual sound modules, but can usually provide traditional MIDI Equipment as well. Original master keyboard virtues such as keyboard-splitting in these models play a minor role. The more important is providing them with elements of different persuasions controller.
