Real McCoy wah-wah pedals with the Vari-Tune Circuit allow guitarists to alter the wah characteristics to shape their own sound. The first Real McCoy circuit board turned into the Real McCoy Custom 1 board. This RMC1 board allowed guitarists to determine their own sweep contour, or Q to engineers. Real McCoy Custom 2 design allows guitarists to widen their sweep without changing the intensity. The Real McCoy 3 wah pedal now features an ICAR potentiometer which duplicates the sound of original pots.
