The defector from Foxpedal plays in the Muff Top League. Various clipping diodes are switchable: silicon diodes for classic muff sound, LED's for a more open tone with neat attack and diodes bypass for loud, violent fuzz insanity. The Muffs critical center range can be steplessly controlled with the Mids Potis from Scooped Mids to Midboost. Directly on the board is a trim pot which can be used to preset the saturation of the signal. Prominent Muff users, such as David Gilmour use their muffs with an upstream booster - also no problem here - the defector has a booster, which can also be used individually, on board. A cool feature is the Fuzz Feedback Mode, which can be triggered with the bypass foot switch - a feedback loop that leads to wild self oscillations.
