At first, the question of fiber and connector type can seem very confusing. Imagine the following: You are using a coaxial cable. Here you can mount an F-connector, an RCA connector or even a BNC connector - always depending on which device you want to connect. With a fiber optic cable it is exactly the same. When connecting fiber optics, the two most common connection types are SC or LC. Accordingly, the device that is ultimately to be connected determines the connector type.
