Carus Wiegenlieder

Kids love to sing - exercise songs kick-start the day, silly songs and tongue twisters quickly put them in a good mood, and lullabies relax and calm them down. Good breathing, exercise, speech development, and singing makes kids strong! But kids also need opportunities to sing, they need guidance and a child-friendly approach. They need Parents, Grandparents, Teachers and Educators.

The LIEDERPROJEKT offers texts, sheet music and song recordings for singing together, prepared in a quality-conscious and child-friendly manner. The goal is to re-establish singing in society, with stylistically diverse offerings on CDs, in songbooks, on the radio and on the Internet, which are fun for kids and adults alike.

The LIEDERPROJEKT is a charity project for singing with kids by Carus and SWR 2. So far, more than 200 outstanding concert and opera singers, vocal ensembles, choirs, instrumentalists and more than 300 kids have contributed recordings to the LIEDERPROJEKT. From the sale of the CDs, over 465,000 euros have so far been donated to projects that promote singing with kids (since fall 2019). The German President has honored the project as part of the initiative "Germany. Land of Ideas" initiative.
