Line 6 HX

With the HX series of pedals Line 6 set a new standard. As the development of the popular POD, POD XT and POD HD lines, Line 6 ultimately brought the flagship HELIX to market and shed new light (or rather many little lights) on stages and in recording studios around the world. Rarely has such an extensive range of amp simulations, speakers and IRs as well as effects been presented in a format so suitable for both stage and everyday use. It was more than an evolution of modelling; it was a revolution in the way future devices of this kind should look, operate and, above all, sound. In true Line 6 fashion that wasn't the end. While the hardware largely remains unchanged, the software is continuously improved for customers through free updates. This means a HELIX customer today has a device that's just as modern as at release, and can continue to look forward to new features, new amps, new speakers and new effects. Via the free Line 6 Edit software users can also control their Helix directly from their computer and build sounds even more easily.

Alongside the flagship HELIX, the HX label also encompasses a variety of products that offer a reduced feature set but always the same outstanding sound. HELIX LT provides slightly pared-down hardware with the same sound capabilities as its big brother. HX Effects delivers hundreds of modulation effects, drives, reverbs, delays and more to those who don't need amp simulation. Especially popular is the smallest, fully featured HX model, the HX Stomp. In a chassis that occupies only a fraction of the HELIX, Line 6 offers a full-scale sound processor that brings all the HX series sounds and fits on any pedalboard. This lets musicians carry their complete sonic palette in their guitar case, or create great sound worlds in the studio while saving space. And of course that includes software updates and Line 6 Edit.
