Ashdown Rootmaster RM-800-EVO · Bass Amp Head
This bass amp head has the classic Ashdown features like Octave, Overdrive (both footswitchable, footswitch sold separately) and compressor, a fivefold EQ, FX, etc. Significantly smaller in size and weighing only four and a half! Kilograms, all made possible using a Class-D amplifier.
Effects loop, line-in, line-out and the Ashdown VU meter as Trademark are also featured.
The Rootmaster series from Ashdown has a back-friendly alternative to traditional, heavy bass amplifiers. The lightweight, compact heads and boxes are designed as "all round workhorses" and cover a wide range of applications.

I am familiar with Ashdown's smaller RM220 head, and love the features for modelling sound: five band EQ,compressor, drive and subharmoniser. Great for vintage or modern styles. Having recently started doing larger gigs, I needed a bigger amp head, and so the RM800 was the obvious choice, I am not disappointed.
Ashdown speaker cabinets are good quality, however I married up a Hartke Hy drive 4x10 1000w speaker to it. With a Line 6 HD500X and Sire Marcus Miller bass guitar, it'll blow their cahones off!
