Adam Audio T5V

A new cabinet with a small footprint, bevelled edges and a bass reflex port on the rear panel allows placement anywhere in the room, no matter how small it is. The T5V also features DSP-controlled crossovers and equalizers as well as analog connection options (XLR/cinch). Powered by a 50 W Class-D amplifier for the woofer and a 20 W Class-D amplifier for the U-ART tweeter, the T5V achieves impressive peaks of 106 dB SPL per pair. With its excellent acoustic characteristics, small dimensions and excellent value, this studio monitor is well suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcasting. For those who need even more bottom end: the T5V is compatible with ADAM Sub7 and Sub8 subwoofers.

The T5V has a 5" woofer which allows bass extension down to 45 Hz. The new U-ART offers a pristine and extended high-frequency range of up to 25 kHz and represents a groundbreaking solution for high-resolution recordings and mixes on a small budget. The U-ART tweeter is equipped with a precision waveguide that provides the same excellent dispersion characteristics as the High-Frequency Propagation Waveguide (HPS) used in the S-Series studio monitors. The very even reproduction of high frequencies by the waveguide provides an incredibly wide sweet spot, which saves you from having to stay in a rigid position while working.

Newly developed U-ART tweeter with HPS Waveguide

Many of the technical innovations developed for the S-Series, ADAM Audio's premium series, are now also used in the T-Series. The design of the new U-ART 1.9 "T-Series tweeter is based on that of the X-ART and S-ART tweeters from the AX-Series and S-Series respectively. The U-ART tweeter is equipped with a precision waveguide that has the same excellent dispersion characteristics as the HPS (High Frequency Propagation System) waveguide used in ADAM Audio's S-Series studio monitors.

New Class-D amplifiers and DSP-controlled room adjustment

Both T5V and T7V are equipped with new Class-D amplifiers (20 W for the tweeter and 50 W for the woofer), universal power supplies and integrated DSP crossovers, which are derived from the technological advances in design and production of the S-Series. The rear panel of the T5V and T7V features an XLR connector and a RCA jack with balanced +4 dBu and unbalanced -10 dBV input respectively. An associated 2-way switch selects which socket receives an input signal. The T5V and T7V can automatically operate with AC voltages from 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz. This allows them to be connected to both professional and "prosumer" recording systems, as well as balanced and unbalanced I/O boxes for DAWs.

Two 3-way switches amplify or attenuate the respective low and high frequencies by ±2 dB and offer an additional "flat" setting. These EQ switches allow you to adjust the frequency response of the T5V and T7V to precisely match the performance of the monitors when placed on a shelf, desk or console, or at different distances from walls.
