Novation Launch Control XL 3
Novation Launch Control XL
With the Launch Control XL you can directly control common DAWs, software synthesizers, effects and external hardware. Connection is conveniently via USB or MIDI. For control you have eight faders, 24 endless encoders, 16 freely assignable buttons, dedicated transport controls and a clear OLED display that keeps important information in view at all times.
Flexible control for any setup
Whether you work exclusively with software, use a hardware setup or combine both – Launch Control adapts flexibly to your workflow. The controller can be used for detailed tweaks on individual devices as well as for comprehensive control of your entire production or live performance.
Seamless DAW integration
Launch Control supports direct integration with Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase and Bitwig. For other software, Mackie HUI support is also available.
Control hardware directly
Thanks to the built-in MIDI inputs and outputs as well as the Out2/Thru connector, you can control external synthesizers, effects and other MIDI devices directly – even without a computer.
Perfect for hybrid setups
External hardware, DAW control and important plugin parameters can be combined in a customised layout. This creates a clear setup that integrates both software and hardware.
Your creative companion
Whether you’re adjusting effects, balancing a mix or fine-tuning your hardware synthesizers – Launch Control brings together all essential control functions in a clearly structured layout. This keeps your workflow flowing at all times – in the studio, on stage or on the go.
16 endless rotary encoders
with LED feedback
The smooth-turning encoders each have their own RGB LED that visually indicates the current value. In the user-definable modes you can use them to control pan controls, adjust sends or manage any other parameters. The response curves can be customised individually.
Eight assignable buttons
The colour-coded buttons give you fast access to important functions in your DAW. For example, you can switch between tracks or activate solo, mute or arm functions. You can also assign MIDI CC messages, program changes or keyboard commands.
Eight faders
For precise mixing, eight 60 mm faders are available, allowing you to adjust levels quickly and accurately. The optional fader pickup function prevents sudden value jumps when switching between parameters. In custom modes the faders can be flexibly assigned, for example to control effects, filters or other sound parameters – ideal for studio use or live performances.
MIDI connectors
The 5-pin MIDI inputs and outputs plus Out2/Thru let you route MIDI signals between synthesizers, effects and other devices. For larger setups, custom modes can be used to split the controller and control multiple devices at once.
Software included
Launch Control is supplied with a selection of high-quality music software so you can get started right away. This includes, among others, Ableton Live for recording and performance as well as Cubase for songwriting and production. Plugins from Klevgrand, Baby Audio and Output are also included.
