Kong NightShift Power Soak
Silence!
If you love the sound of your tube amp but also appreciate your neighbours or flatmates, you're faced with a problem. Because your amp only really sounds awesome when it's loud and the floor vibrates under your feet — in other words, when the tubes are pushed into saturation.
But don't despair straight away: if you don't want to unnecessarily strain the people around you, you can enjoy the sound of your amp cranked to the limit while a small wonder device makes the speaker behave meekly or even go completely silent, and routes the signal at line level into a completely different device.
Sound, sound, sound.
So how do you play quietly while keeping the beloved sound? The solution, as so often these days, comes in the form of an Anglicism — or two: a so‑called "attenuator", also marketed as a "Power‑Soak", is a device that reduces the brutal force of the output signal at your amp's speaker jack (attenuation = reduction) while passing the character of the full tube overdrive unchanged, but much quieter, to the connected speaker. Part of the energy that makes the signal so loud is converted into heat (Power Soak = energy soaking). Don't worry, the "soaking" doesn't affect your heavy crunch!
Load!
But that's not all: to prevent damage to your amp, a speaker usually needs to be connected so that the amp's circuitry has the electrical load (impedance) it expects. In home recording or the studio you don't always have the right cab — or any at all. This is where the Load function comes in. It uses the selected 8 or 16 ohm setting so that almost any standard amp can be operated safely without a speaker.
The carefully dialled‑in killer sound that you've coaxed out of your power amp can at any time be routed, either from the balanced XLR output with ground‑lift or from the conventional line out with level control, to a suitable device of your choice — be that an Interface, a mixer, a cab simulation or your dad's old 4‑track cassette recorder.
So nothing — be it delicate children's ears, sensitive neighbours or stressed partners — stands between you and your AWESOME‑S🤤OUND face any more. We wish you unrestricted shredding in all situations and at any time of day or night!

Product information "Kong NightShift Power Soak"
Night Shift - shifting Headroom to Bedroom is written on the Kong Power Soak and this name reflects the way this device works very well. First and foremost, the Night Shift is a power soak with which the output power of the connected amp can be reduced to room volume. The power limitation can be switched in steps of -2, -4, -6, -9, -12 and -15 dB, in the -15 dB setting the power limitation can be adjusted continuously with the fine tuning potentiometer. The Night Shift can also be used as a load box - the load switch switches off the speaker output, leaving only the load resistors active. Also on board is an adjustable jack line out and a balanced XLR line out. Powersoaks convert electrical power into heat and an integrated fan ensures sufficient cooling. A power supply unit is included in the scope of delivery.

Like you've been bitten by a wild ape... With Kong Guitar Gear – exclusive to session – your sound will push forward, and it does so without putting your piggy bank at risk!
Guitar amplifiers — from the headphone amp EarWorm, through tube and transistor combos and bass amps to our Monkey- and Gorilla-Cage cabinets — give you ape-powered sound for wild riffs. The Kong effects pedal series is impressive to look at and, above all, to hear. It answers the question "Can tiny stompboxes really sound that big?" with a clear: "Yes they can!" — as big as a mountain gorilla. The name says it all: Kong pedals deliver powerful, muscular sounds for every use. Kong's effect units work almost exclusively with analogue circuits and, alongside extreme sound settings, of course also offer the option to dial in subtle tones. Some pedals like Beer-Fuzz and Mett-Ler have almost achieved cult status.

Grosser Amp, schön aufdrehen, geiler Sound mit allem was dazugehört, obertöne, sustain usw. Und dann auf zimmerlautstärke runterregeln.
Der Power Soak hat bisher meine Erwartungen insgesamt voll und ganz erfüllt.
