After the mega-seller BE OD, the Brown Eye in a Box, now comes the Dirty Shirley Overdrive Pedal, which is dedicated to the Friedman Brit Crunch icon Dirty Shirley Amp. The pedal reacts to the velocity and volume pot of the guitar just like the original - an extremely dynamic rock sound - from slightly distorted to full heavy crunch. Whether set to clean or already distorted - the Dirty Shirley pedal can be easily adapted to your personal setup thanks to the effective tone control. The Tight control known from the BE OD and the Buxom Boost has been replaced by a switch on the Dirty Shirley pedal and can cut the bass if required and make the sound more direct and "tighter", the Mid control is a Mid Boost - no boost in the zero position, but a decent Mid Push from the centre position. For extended headroom, 18 volt operation is also possible.

Cette pédale est pour moi magique, pourtant j'ai eu la JHS AT+,J Rockett,BMF,Sabbadius,Jetter,Bearfoot ect,mais à chaque fois je trouvais qu'il me manquait quelle que chose. Elle me permet de jouer du Hard Rock Rock et Blues sans passer trois heures à bidouiller les boutons. La fabrication est sérieuse,les réglages sont à l'identique d'un ampli. Son prix n'est pas un obstacle ,Foncez

Dieser Overdrive, der aber auch höheres Gain mehr als souverän abdeckt, ist eine Wunderkiste. Der große Unterschied - auch zu all den hochpreisigen Mitkonkurrenten, die ich je unter meinen Füßen hatte - ist seine fantastische Klangregelung, mit der man sich einen richtig schönen, dicken, sahnigen Rocksound herzaubern kann. Und darunter verstehe ich nicht diese schneidend scharfen, dünnen Höhen, die man von den Mitbewerbern bekommt,wenn man den Treble-Regler und/oder das Gain aufdreht, sondern die Höhen werden beim Friedman einfach nur laut, so, als ob sie geboostet werden, ohne aber das Trommelfell zu quälen mit der Schärfe des Klangs. Wer es denn scharf will, müsste zusätzlich noch den Presence-Regler aufdrehen. Auch die Mitten und der Bass sind genauso herausragend - so etwas kenne ich von keinem anderen Overdrive. Ebenso ist der Tight-Regler eine Klasse für sich - er sorgt dafür, dass überbordende oder mulmige Bässe beschnitten werden und lässt den Bassbereich klar und differenziert hervortreten. Auch wenn man z. B. bei Strymon oder Xotic noch zig Schalter vorfindet zur Klangformung - der Dirty Shirley können sie damit nicht annähernd das Wasser reichen. Man muss auch nicht stundenlang herumexperimentieren mit ihr. Innerhalb von ein paar Minuten kann man sich mir ihr seinen Traumsound zaubern. Für Rockmusik gibt es meinen Erfahrungen nach kein besseres Teil als diese "Dirty Shirley". Ich spiele sie auf dem Marshall JVM 410 H und auch dem JVM 215. Am besten haben mir die Kanäle "Clean - grün und rot" sowie "Crunch grün, orange und rot" damit gefallen. Im Crunch-Kanal aber nur, wenn relativ wenig Gain am Verstärker voreingestellt ist, so, dass es dort wirklich nur sehr leicht cruncht in der Einstellung "orange". Als Gitarre war eine Gibson mit 57er-Tonabnehmern beteiligt. Für eine Strat ist dieser Overdrive aber ebenso bestens geeignet, wenn man damit den Ton fett bekommen möchte. Vor allem eben auch die Höhen - denn die Mitten und Bässe bekommen all die anderen ca. 800 Mitkonkurrenten auch laut heraus - nur nicht ganz so edel im Klang. ;-) Mit diesem Teil habe ich nach jahrelanger Suche endlich gefunden, nach was ich suchte. Für das, was dieser Verzerrer kann, ist er mehr als nur preiswert.
