The Whammy pedal is one of DigiTech's great coups. With the Whammy I from 1993, a new effect category was created - a pitch shifter, which can be used to change the pitch using a pedal in real time. Guitarists like Tom Morello and David Gilmour helped the Whammy to cult status. The DigiTech Whammy DT is the flagship of the Whammy series - besides the classic polyphonic pitch shifting by pedal, the pitch of the guitar can also be shifted up or down in semitones. With a button, hammer-on and pull-off effects can be simulated. The effects programs can also be switched via MIDI.
The Whammy DT combines the characteristic sound of the original version with modern features.

Fifty years ago the market for effect pedals wasn't as large as it is today. Instead of a multitude of pedal makers on the internet, you had to visit your local guitar shop and choose from two or three brands they stocked. DOD was almost always one of them.

Good
It is a whammy, it sounds great and feels great, has a ton of settings, but it's too large and heavy. If this pedal weighed a little less I would be able to take it to all my gigs and rehearsals, but being that bulky it usually stays home.
