Catalinbread has added another ambient classic to its range after the Echorec and the Talisman: the CB Paint pedal resurrects the legendary Microverb of the late '80s. At the time digital reverb was very expensive — the Microverb made a good, dense reverb sound affordable for less well‑off musicians. Housed in a strange enclosure (three devices from the Micro series fitted into a 19" rack) and powered by an annoying 9 V AC power supply with a mini‑jack connector, the Microverb impressed with its dense, modern reverb sound. Catalinbread has packed the little effect box into a floor pedal with the CB Paint. On board are the eight most popular presets of the classic, including the then hugely trendy gate and reverse programmes. Now in a stage‑ready version with a standard 9 V DC power‑supply connector and the characteristic reverb sound of the '80s and '90s!
