Snare Drums

Snare drums are made of different materials, all of which always sound slightly different. To quote a favourite at this point, is certainly difficult, because it is a personal opinion and you should always like the sound of your own snare drum. As the snare is a major part of the overall sound of a drum kit, it is important to make the right choice here. Generally, wood shells sound warmer and sometimes even more balanced, while metal shells sound harder and more dynamic.
