Chimes and the carillon is a mallet from the group of metallophones. In colloquial language, a chime is often referred to as the xylophone, which is true but not because of the household names mean = Xylos wood and would resist talk like that. The carillon is often used in early music education. This musical instrument is roughly the tone soprano, alto and tenor-alto divided.
