Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II Pro VS · Electric Guitar
Epiphone launched their first jazz guitars in 1931 and soon established as serious competition for Gibson. The marketing expert Epi Stathopoulo gave each instrument a proper name such as "Broadway" instead of a straightforward model number in order to ensure that these high-quality instruments get the image they deserve right from the beginning. Epi invented the name "Masterbilt Series" for this group of guitars in order to attract attention and to set himself apart from his competitors, who were more focussed on tradition.
The heart of the Epiphone product line is made up of the replicas of the Emperor, Zephyr or Broadway offering the right instruments to suit the needs of any musician ranging from beginner to pro. Their hallmarks are rich sounds and great, comfortable playability.

Epiphone have been in the business for 125 years now. Epaminondas Stathopoulos is the founder and namesake of Epiphone. He has already obtained his first patent when he was only 24 years old. The history of Epiphone has also been shaped greatly by the brilliant guitarist Les Paul experimenting in the Epiphone factory to design the first solid body electric guitar in 1941. Today Epiphone stand for both innovative guitar design and for excellent yet affordable replicas of true guitar classics.
Epiphone also has signature models in its repertoire, these are manufactured according to the specifications of well known musicians. The Signature models mostly differ in appearance and features compared to the standard models. This series is intended for all guitarists who want to play an instrument designed by their guitar heroes at a reasonable price.
