Double Bass

The largest instrument in the string instrument family is the double bass and is used in a wide range of applications. Beginning with the orchestra, jazz or rock 'n' roll and rockabilly. The four strings of the bass are mostly in fourths (, E - G - A - D). The Double bass is also designed with different scales, which are corresponding to the height of the player. Children and smaller people prefer 1/8-, 1/4 or 1/2-Bass with scales of 80, 90 and 97 cm. For adults, the classic 3/4-Bass is the most widespread today.
