The new member of the Taylor family
If you know Bob Taylor, you know he has a fondness for refined woodworking and a pleasing tone. So when he decided to develop an acoustic amp from a stock of tonewoods that weren't suitable for guitars, he knew who to call. Before long, pro musician Terry Myers, electronics guru Tyler Robertson and woodworking expert David Judd were in Bob's workshop exchanging ideas about building an acoustic amp.
Stylish accessory with a natural sound
The result of that meeting is called the Taylor Circa 74 and comes in a smart wooden cabinet. The Circa 74 is equipped with a 10" speaker that reproduces the guitar's sound very naturally. The stylish mahogany cabinet additionally supports an earthy, woody tone and looks really good too. Thanks to its appealing looks you can simply integrate the Circa 74 into your living room setup and you don't have to put it away after every session. Thanks to the Bluetooth streaming function you can also play along to your favourite tracks or simply use the Circa 74 as a Bluetooth speaker.
Features and functions
With 150 watts of power, the Taylor Circa 74 is well equipped for any situation or challenge - whether a living-room session or a festival gig. In addition to tone shaping via a 3-band equaliser, you can also add a reverb whose intensity you can adjust as you like. The Circa 74 is furthermore compatible with most common pickup and preamp systems.
Two channels full of possibilities
The Circa 74 features two separate channels, each equipped with a 3-band equaliser. That way you can simultaneously amplify your voice via the microphone input (combo XLR/6.3 mm jack) and your guitar sound (6.3 mm jack) and adjust them as you wish. The amp even has a headphone output for quiet practice and a Bluetooth interface.
The perfect accessories included
Included in the delivery, of course, is the obligatory power supply. There's also a matching amp stand made from mahogany that the Circa 74 fits on perfectly. With the stand you can change the speaker's tilt so you can hear your sound best even when you're standing. The stand also lets the Circa 74 be aimed more effectively at the audience to give your listeners an optimal listening experience.
