Roland VH-14D Digital V Hi Hat
Product information "Roland VH-14D Digital V Hi Hat"
Roland's digital pads take electronic drumming to a new level. In combination with the extremely fast signal processing, the supported V-Drums sound modules enable an unrivalled expressive drum experience. Roland's digital pads capture even the smallest nuances of playing in breathtaking detail, bringing electronic drum kits to life.
The groundbreaking VH-14D takes the electronic hi-hat to a new level of playability. Both the touch sensitivity and sound variety as well as the resolution of the open/closed states are transmitted in unprecedented resolution. The two-part design with the two thin 14" pads offers a familiar look and a natural playing feel. At the same time, the high-resolution multi-sensor system recognises the velocity, stick position and your footwork with maximum precision. In addition to authentically reproduced foot splashes, you can mute the cymbals by hand just like on an acoustic drum kit.
The VH-14D is the ideal partner for the PD-140S Digital Snare and the CY-18DR Digital Ride. This means that the three most versatile instruments in your kit benefit from the advantages of Roland's powerful digital technology.
To fully utilise the hi-hat experience with the VH-14D, Roland recommends combining it with the TD-50X flagship sound module or a TD-50 with the TD-50X upgrade installed. These modules feature new sounds that have been completely customised to the capabilities of the VH-14D. With a free system update, you can also use the TD-50 and TD-27 standard modules with the VH-14D. In this way, you benefit from the advanced sensor recognition of the VH-14D, but you cannot access the new sounds.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes. In the mid-1970s the JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier was developed, whose ultra-clear sound together with the built-in chorus effect won over both Andy Summers of The Police and Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica. Since then and to this day Roland have continuously expanded their catalogue across a wide range of fields such as digital pianos, grooveboxes, e-drums and synthesizers with high-quality and interesting products.
