Premium studio microphone with a newly developed, edge-polarised 1" microphone capsule specially designed by RØDE. The NT1 features a straight, flat frequency response, a subtly smooth presence boost and an extremely low self-noise of just 4.5 dBA. Sonically it recalls coveted vintage classics and is perfect for vocals and acoustic instruments. With a high maximum SPL of 132 dB it is also suitable for loud sound sources, e.g. as a drum overhead or for brass instruments.
The NT1's aluminium body is corrosion-resistant nickel-plated and finished with an extremely scratch-resistant black ceramic coating. Enamel powder is applied evenly by an electrostatic process and then baked. Finally the labelling is laser-engraved. The result: a very high-quality finish that still looks good after years and, together with the electronics, also provides excellent resistance to RF interference.
The NT1 package includes the SM6 shock mount, which provides effective isolation of the microphone from structure-borne vibrations, as well as an XLR cable (6 m) and a dust bag. The SM6 has an integrated fabric pop shield that can be removed if required, can be adjusted on two axes and can be optimally positioned with its telescopic extension. The NT1 is manufactured by RØDE in Australia; registered users receive a 10-year warranty.
