Maton The Australian EA 808
Product information "Maton The Australian EA 808"
This guitar features a newly revised scalloped bracing. The back has been radiused to produce a wider tonal spectrum, with an emphasis on the classic earthy Maton sound, resulting in a stronger bass response. The neck is made from solid Blackwood and now, fitting the Australian theme, the fretboard and bridge are crafted from desert acacia (Mulga). Finally, the Australian series is now finished with Maton's new UV-cured lacquer — a thinner coat of finish for improved tone. A new mother-of-pearl Australian decal adorns this exciting new guitar. This instrument is made entirely from Australian native timbers!
The Australian Series is the culmination of over 50 years of Maton guitar making from Australian woods. It shows Australia's native timbers at their best. Back and sides of beautiful Australian Blackwood, a close relative of Hawaiian koa, combined with a Blackwood neck produce a full, balanced tone. This unique Australian guitar stands alongside the best instruments the world has to offer.
