The Precision Drive is the first pedal from Misha Manssor's newly founded Horizon Devices company. The Overdrive, specially developed for Metal, features that none of the previous Overdrive pedal standards has to offer.
For modern metal sounds, pedals such as the Maxon OD808 are often switched to a high-gain amp, especially in the lower frequency range, to make the low-end tighter and to blow the amp slightly at the input stage. So far, however, one had to look for the perfect pedal for his amp/guitar combination.
The Horizon Precision Drive offers a variety of settings with the Attack rotary switch to get rid of unwanted mud in the low end.
The built-in Noisegate provides for a quiet sound by suppressing the additional noise caused by the more gain, but can also be used as an effect with higher settings.

Top Gerät. Hat mehr Boost wie ein normaler tube screamer plus ein hi pass filter und noise gate.
Was soll man sagen? Ich brauchte ein definierteres Low End, ich brauchte mehr Chugg, mehr Djenty Djönt and now I got it. Leudde, das Teil ist krank und den Preis wert. Gruß geht auch raus an die Leudde von Musik Produktiv. Am Mittwoch bestellt und am Donnerstag da. Mega!!!!!
Einer der besten Overdrive Pedale auf dem Markt, gerade im tieftuning Bereich (wir reden hier nicht von Drop A). Es macht genau was es soll, räumt dein low end auf, definiert die Noten und akzentuiert dein Pickattack. Gerade ab Drop F kommt es besonders gut zur Geltung. Die Funktionen sind alle sehr gut durchdacht und auch das integrierte Noisegate ergibt Sinn. Punkt Abzug gibts beim Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis, darüber lässt sich streiten. Tolles Pedal.
I am very impressed by this pedal. It replaced my trusty maxon 808 from my board. It vorks great with all my high gain amps. It improves note definition on complex chords without changing the amp tone. The gate works well (I only wish it could have a dedicated switch). It’s a always on pedal for me!
Pedal war leider eine einzige Enttäuschung. Kommt nicht mal im Ansatz an das TS9 ran. Klingt deutlich dünner und steriler. Was es unbrauchbar machte, war aber das beständige Rauschen. Selbst im Standy Modus des Amps. Und das eingebaute Noisegate musste komplett aufgedreht werden um überhaupt was zu bewirken. Leider nicht gut. Wurde durch ein Revv Tilt Boost ersetzt und das Pedal liefert ab. Das Horizon dagegen wird seinem Ruf null gerecht.
Stellt jeden Amp ordentlich auf die Beine! Absolute Kaufempfehlung für Fans moderner Gitarrensounds und Extended Range!
The attack variations can shape my bass responses so well that I do not use any compressor at all - The built in noise gate is so good that I don't have to use another pedal, 3 in 1 for a valuable price.
Ich denke zu viel muss man hier nicht schreiben. Das Preceision Drive ist der TS9 für die härteren Nischen was aber nicht bedeuten soll, dass er außerhalb keinen Einsatz finden sollte. Eignet sich perfekt um einem matschigen amp sound Struktur zu verleihen. Aber auch wenn man einen schönen Hard Rock Gitarrensound sucht kann man mit diesem Gerät diesem ein bisschen mehr „wumms“ verleihen ohne gleichzeitig die zerre in High Gain Bereiche drehen zu müssen. Tolles Gerät, wäre mit einem reverb der Bodentreter den ich mit auf den Mond nehmen würde.
