Epiphone Flying V 70s MB

Product information "Epiphone Flying V 70s MB"

The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Flying V 70s is based on the legendary models rediscovered by rock icons in the Seventies. Its two-piece mahogany body with centre seam delivers classic looks and a full tone, while the mahogany neck with rounded C profile and volute offers the authentic feel of the era. The rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and dot inlays provides familiar playability.

The slightly shorter '70s arrowhead headstock is equipped with Grover Rotomatic tuners and a GraphTech nut, guaranteeing reliable tuning stability. Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece come in Epiphone's LockTone execution for optimal vibration transfer.

For the characteristic, punchy Flying V sound the new Epiphone T-Type PRO humbuckers are fitted. They deliver the fat, sustain-rich tone that made the Flying V famous in the hard rock era. They're controlled via two volume knobs, a master tone and authentic witch-hat knobs. The pickguard and trussrod cover echo the original '70s design.

With its eye-catching look, powerful sound and the included premium gigbag, the Flying V 70s is a true retro-futurist icon for stage, studio and collection.

About Epiphone

When you think of Epiphone you naturally think of Gibson, since the maker of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of that company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments in the lower to mid price range. That means beginners can pick up electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from earlier Epiphone eras like Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. In particular, Epiphone's beginner sets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass are worth a close look for newcomers.
