The sound of the euphonia — one you can truly fall in love with — is one thing, but the unique feel of the rotaries is equally captivating. When designing the rotary knobs, the main focus was to create a noticeably deeper connection with the euphonia. The 3-band master isolator was specially developed to let you shape music dynamically. That gives you more tactile control over the sound. If you want to take things a step further, you can use the 3-band master isolator together with the new Boost Send function. That turns spontaneous musical ideas into impressive tones and powerful performances.

The euphonia offers much more, including an Energy Visualizer, built-in send FX and multiple inputs and outputs. All of this lets you take musical expression to the next level. The mixer’s sound draws you even deeper into the music and enables a wide range of musical experiences.

Euphoric sound: digital clarity and analogue touch thanks to the Rupert Neve Designs transformer
The euphonia delivers an euphoric sound full of digital clarity and analogue richness unlike anything you’ve heard from a DJ mixer before. For accurate, detailed sound the euphonia uses high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters and 96 kHz/64-bit floating-point mix processing in the DSP, combined with AlphaTheta’s years of digital signal processing expertise. The euphonia’s signals run through a transformer circuit co-developed by AlphaTheta and Rupert Neve Designs. The name Rupert Neve stands for a legendary maker whose excellent analogue audio circuits and consoles are revered by artists and engineers worldwide. This specially tuned circuit adds harmonics to the music and produces a radiant, energetic sound that’s perfect for mixing. Low frequencies like kicks and bass become weightier and more powerful, mids such as vocals and instruments gain presence and sheen, and highs like hi-hats sound silky and natural. The transformer bridges the gap between vintage live and modern electronic sounds and makes mixing easier and surprisingly natural — as if recordings of different styles had originally been one single track.

Specially developed rotaries — a soulful unity with the music
Once you touch the euphonia’s rotaries, you won’t want to let go. They were completely redesigned with great care to provide an intuitive mixing experience. That enables expressive mixing and creates a deep connection with the mixer. After extensive testing, the chosen rotaries proved to be perfect. The knobs are coated on the outside with an elastomer that ensures a comfortable, reliable grip and high vibration damping. A special feature is their optimal weighting: the feel changes with rotation speed. At slow movements the rotary resistance is higher, which is helpful for fine adjustments. The faster the rotary is turned, the lower the resistance becomes — ideal for quick level changes. The fader volume curves were perfected thanks to feedback from many DJs and allow smooth, natural mixing without EQing. Perfect for focusing entirely on volume control. These innovative rotaries create musical expression that moves the audience and uplifts every performance.

Energy Visualizer — control the mix at a glance
The euphonia’s Energy Visualizer gives you an immediate overview of the mix and the balance of track levels. While conventional VU meters with a single needle make it hard to gauge several channels at once, the Energy Visualizer does exactly that. The euphonia’s unique mix level meter features a needle display for each channel, so the levels of all channels are always in view. That frees you to mix comfortably without losing the groove. The spectrum analyzer also shows levels at the master output, helping you achieve a more consistent, even mix — even during long sets you can keep an eye on levels and dial in the perfect sound.

Next-generation 3-band master isolator: when feeling becomes sound
The 3-band master isolator, specially developed for the euphonia, opens up an even more expressive control over the music.

• High-quality isolator

The size of the isolator knobs is perfect for quick twists from centre to maximum or minimum. The rotary resistance is optimally balanced — not too low — it feels luxurious and allows both fast turns and fine sound adjustments. The chosen cutoff frequencies and slopes enable kick, melody and rhythm frequencies to be controlled and highlighted in a natural yet precise way.

• Brand-new Boost Send for one-handed effect use

The integrated send effects or external effects can be applied to any frequency band of the master isolator. Just press the Boost Send button for the low, mid or high band. A turn of the isolator then applies the effect to that band, leaving your other hand free to mix another track.

• Boost Level — for your personal style

Select the appropriate Boost Level depending on your mix style to determine how much each frequency band is boosted. For dynamic performances we recommend +12 dB.

Integrated send effects: for more depth and width
The euphonia includes five integrated spatial effects (Delay, Tape-Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer) and a high-pass filter that add depth and width to the music. External effects units can also be integrated via the send/return section. A send knob in each channel sets the desired effect amount. The time control for delay and reverb features a specially developed mechanism that automatically switches between click-based and non-click-based timing depending on the selected effect. This ensures that Delay, Tape-Echo and Echo Verb match the track BPM and that effects can be applied quickly. For Reverb and Shimmer the click is less important, so the control operates freely — perfect for smooth sweeps or subtle tweaks.

Design for a new era of rotary mixers
The euphonia’s design — a two-tone, two-layer look symbolising tradition and innovation — is meant to herald a new era of rotary mixers. The channel strip, which contains traditional mixer elements, is differentiated from the innovative display section by matte and glossy textures. That creates design clarity, combining analogue and digital elements. The copper colour of the primary knobs conveys the warmth of analogue sound. The wooden side panels are lacquered black and therefore integrate perfectly into the overall aesthetic.
