Zoom H6studio
Product information "Zoom H6studio"
The Zoom H6studio is a compact and powerful digital audio recorder, ideal for concert recordings and professional mobile capture. With compact dimensions of 221 x 83 x 54.5 mm and a weight of just 477 g, the recorder is easy to transport and use in a variety of recording situations.
The sleek black housing of the H6studio contains a range of features that make it an indispensable tool for musicians and audio engineers. The recorder features a 2" full colour LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, allowing clear and intuitive operation. The additional accessibility options for visually impaired users in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian and Chinese are a notable plus!
The professional microphones of the XYH-5s interchangeable capsule are elastically suspended, minimising vibrations and handling noise. They also offer a maximum SPL of 140 dB. Combined with sample rates up to 192 kHz and a dynamic range of 132 dB, they guarantee outstanding sound quality.
With recording capacity of up to 2 TB and the ability to record WAV files in various bit depths (16-bit, 24-bit and 32-bit float), the H6studio offers impressive flexibility.
The 32-bit float recording ensures you can capture audio without clipping and without complex gain staging. This is particularly advantageous for live performances where levels can fluctuate. External microphones can of course also be gain-adjusted manually.
The H6studio provides a total of 8 recording channels and 6 playback channels, making it a versatile device for different applications. Inputs include 4 XLR/¼" combo jacks and a 3.5 mm mini-jack input, while the outputs comprise a stereo mini-jack headphone output and a Line-Out. The unit also features a built-in audio interface offering 6 inputs and 2 outputs.
Another highlight is the option to control the recorder remotely using the BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter (not included) together with the ZOOM Handy Control & Sync app for iOS.
This lets you manage multiple compatible Zoom recorders at once, start and stop recordings and sync timecode — ideal for complex recording situations.
Power is supplied by 4 AA batteries, an optional power adapter or via USB bus power, giving you extra flexibility in how you use the unit. The built-in speaker enables immediate playback of your recordings, while the integrated XYH-5s interchangeable capsule delivers excellent stereo capture.
The Zoom H6studio is not only a powerful recorder but also a versatile tool for creative minds who demand the highest audio quality. Whether you record concerts or conduct interviews, the H6studio meets your needs and delivers impressive results.
