Product information "Roland RD-2000EX"
The next generation of RD stage pianos with two independent sound generators and modern controller features
The Roland RD-2000 EX offers comprehensive performance possibilities for all purposes. Whether in the studio or live on stage, the RD-2000 EX offers you an authentic and detailed sound with full polyphony thanks to the independent V-Piano sound engine. Two V-Piano expansions, the German Concert and the Essential Upright, are already pre-installed. The sound palette is extended by a huge selection of electronic pianos, ensemble sounds, synthesiser and many more. A virtual tone wheel organ is also on board. The eight knobs with LED status indicators and nine sliders give you perfect control over sounds and effects in real time. The tried-and-tested Roland PHA-50 keyboard, which is also used on other home and stage pianos, ensures an excellent playing feel and durability. Furthermore, eight assignable zones are available to assign sounds to different keyboard areas or to create layers of up to eight levels. The RD-2000 EX has a USB audio/MIDI interface including control support for Apple MainStage. This allows you to use not only the internal RD sounds, but also the virtual instruments and tracks from the software. The interface supports audio in 24 bit and 192 kHz.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes. In the mid-1970s the JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier was developed, whose ultra-clear sound together with the built-in chorus effect won over both Andy Summers of The Police and Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica. Since then and to this day Roland have continuously expanded their catalogue across a wide range of fields such as digital pianos, grooveboxes, e-drums and synthesizers with high-quality and interesting products.
