Stereo backing track switcher

The Backtrack is a compact stereo audio switcher, perfect for bands running redundant backing tracks on stage or switching between any stereo audio sources.

Switch between two stereo backing track sources on stage
Simply connect playback devices with 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm TRS jack sockets

Protection against playback errors

For any performance that includes backing tracks or other pre-recorded elements, reliability is critical to ensure a smooth performance. Unfortunately, smartphone batteries die, laptops freeze and Murphy's Law always applies. The Backtrack creates a redundant system to ensure that you can instantly switch to a backup device should problems arise with your primary playback source. This can be done simply by pressing a button on the Backtrack or via a remote JR-2 footswitch, so you can concentrate on your performance with peace of mind.

Change backing track sources remotely

Use the JR-2 footswitch to mute or switch between playback sources. Monitor on stage with a powered speaker and send a signal to the house PA system at the same time.

Use the headphone output to pre-listen to tracks The headphone output can monitor both inputs without switching the feed to the PA, so you can pre-listen to the next track and monitor silently through headphones. Switch between redundant amp modelling systems Take the balanced or unbalanced line level outputs from two stereo amp modelling devices into the backtrack; it automatically balances the signal at the XLR outputs to the PA. If one amp simulator fails, use the JR-2 to easily switch to the backup unit.
