10.1-inch touchscreen with new user interface
The 10.1-inch touchscreen is the largest ever used on a Pioneer DJ all‑in‑one system and is significantly bigger than the XDJ‑RX2's 7-inch touchscreen. It offers a higher resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and a higher refresh rate compared with the previous model, so all information is clearly visible, including smoother waveform display. A redesigned user interface plus some new features make navigation easier – ideal for quickly browsing and precisely mixing tracks. In the Browse area, 12 tracks are now shown instead of 8, so you need to scroll less when searching for the next song. Icons on the left side of the screen display the relevant information for each track, making category searches much faster and easier.
Colour‑On‑Jog Display: track info at a glance
The LCD in the centre of each jog wheel shows the playback position. The jog wheels now respond noticeably faster than on the XDJ‑RX2. Cover art can also be displayed to make tracks and albums easier to recognise. The Feeling Adjust control lets you set the rotational resistance of each jog wheel to suit your preferences.
More Beat FX and Sound Colour FX: for extra texture and more dynamic mixes
The XDJ‑RX3 includes all the effects of its predecessor plus six extra Beat FX and two additional Sound Colour FX. This brings the full effect palette of the DJM‑900NXS2 to the unit: 14 Beat FX, including Ping Pong, Filter, Phaser, Slip Roll, Vinyl Brake and Helix, and six Sound Colour FX, including Space and Crush.
Release FX: new energy for every performance
A single press of the performance pads can change the energy of a performance instantly, whether you want to add drama to a section of a track or create an exciting moment before switching to another track on the other deck. For example, Echo Out or Spin Out are useful for dynamically transitioning into the next track. Eight effects are available: Vinyl Brake (short/long), Backspin (short/long), Echo Out, Build Up, Mute and Ducking.
Compatible with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro: plug & play
The XDJ‑RX3 can play music from USB storage devices in Export mode when the files have been analysed with rekordbox. Alternatively, connect a laptop to the XDJ‑RX3 and use the Link Export or Performance mode via USB‑HID control. Because the XDJ‑RX3 also functions as a hardware unlock device, the Performance mode is available free of charge — no paid subscription is required. This means you can play all tracks from a rekordbox library and use all Core‑level features for free while connected to your laptop. Plug‑and‑play for Serato DJ Pro is also included free of charge (coming early 2022).
Natural sound: for authentic‑sounding mixes
Because the decks and mixer are built as a single integrated unit, there are no audio losses from interconnect cables. The new PCB design also eliminates unwanted noise and provides a finely tuned frequency response with punchy bass and lively mids and highs.
