Peavey has packed another of its many classics into a compact floor pedal: the legendary Session LTD 400 from 1974, a large, heavy combo specially designed for steel and lap steel guitars. The Session amp established itself as the first choice for "steeler" players thanks to its rounded, clean basic sound. The pedal is an exact reproduction of the preamp section – 3-band EQ with Mid Shift (sets the mid frequency for the mid-cut), Presence and finally Volume (Gain) and Sens (Master Volume). As with the legendary Session amp, the preamp circuit is run at 25 volts (an internal voltage charge pump converts the standard 9 V DC supply) for increased headroom and dynamics.
