Product information "Nobels ODR-1 X Overdrive"
Nobels ODR-1X · Electric Guitar Effect Pedal
The legendary ODR-1 was long a hidden gem, but it has since continued its triumphant run across countless pedalboards. While the golden Anniversary model with its adjustable bass cut was already a meaningful evolution, the ODR-1 X now represents the next development stage. The 1X variant also offers the adjustable bass cut but has further highlights under the hood: an adjustable gain boost (remotely switchable via a remote jack with an optional footswitch!!) lifts the overdrive pedal into hard rock territory – alongside the transparent, organic overdrive sound, heavy crunch tones are now possible. Other features: internal switch for buffered or true bypass, 18-volt operation for increased headroom possible, fold-out "Mounty P" mounting tabs for stress-free attachment to the pedalboard.

Founded in 1983 by Bernhard Kurzke, Nobels started together with technician Kai Tachibana as a small company with big ambitions: great sounds, clever ideas and fair prices. Since then Nobels has followed a clear motto: "No Fashion! Just straight, high standards with that little Extra for the Musician!"
The Natural Overdrive ODR‑1, first introduced in 1993, made Nobels particularly well known in studio circles. Its open, natural sound established itself as an alternative to the then widespread "nasally" overdrives. Musicians like Gary Moore, Bryan Adams and Mark Knopfler appreciated this character and integrated the pedal into their setups.
At the same time, Nobels has constantly worked on improvements: reissues, bass‑cut switches, new enclosures, True‑Bypass options, glow‑in‑the‑dark pointer knobs—always with the aim of combining the best in tone, usability and reliability.
The ODR‑1 is Nobels' classic pedal and is available in various versions. But other effects, such as the CHO‑Mini stereo chorus or the DEL‑Mini delay, also combine tradition with innovation in the typical Nobels way.
For Nobels, fashion doesn't matter—substance does: big names and session pros swear by the character, versatility and attention to detail. Not least because Nobels has spent many years listening and continuously developing. Whether it’s the ODR‑1 or the new mini pedals—when you choose Nobels you get top‑class effects with history, maturity and modern convenience.
