Since 1986 the Giessen guitar manufactory Lakewood, founded by Martin Seeliger, has stood for the highest quality in guitar making. The steel-string acoustic guitars impress with their craftsmanship, outstanding playability and great tone. While Lakewood initially built almost exclusively dreadnought models, there is now a wide selection of body shapes such as Jumbo and Grand Concert. Lakewood is happy to accommodate individual wishes via its Custom Shop, so everyone can get what they want. With extensive knowledge of the professional and artful manufacture of guitars, Lakewood Guitars in Giessen have been building high-quality steel-string acoustic guitars for over 35 years. Instruments are made with the utmost precision using new technologies alongside proven traditions, resulting in tone, aesthetics and construction that meet the highest demands.
In addition to the series models, the Lakewood Custom Shop is very popular. Here you can design your own individual instrument using the "Lakewood Gitarren Designer". Lakewood is happy to support its customers from planning to the build of the instrument, offers valuable tips when choosing from the many options and helps you decide on your dream guitar. Since 2014 it's been possible to have your instrument made entirely from native woods and thus have a truly sustainable instrument built.
It quickly becomes clear that there is a very special "spirit" at Lakewood and a great love of instrument making. If you want to experience that for yourself, you can see for yourself at one of the Lakewood workshop tours in Giessen.

Si buscas una guitarra con un mástil fino ....olvidate , esta se asemeja mas a una guitarra española, mástil grueso, algo basto , nada que ver con los mástiles de las guitarras americanas (Gibson, Martin...) yo he tenido de las dos y mucho mas grueso, la construcción es buena , se ve de calidad, el sonido ... europeo... como lo denifiniria...totalmente diferente a lo norteamericano , algo cálido , brillante , para la caja que tiene buen sonido proyectado ... en fin... mirar otras opciones.
