The Ibanez AAM300CE-NT is a western guitar with an Advanced Auditorium body and features a cutaway that makes accessing the higher frets easier. The top (soundboard) is made of Sitka spruce, which provides a warm tone. The back and sides are made of Khaya, a wood also known as African mahogany. The neck is made from thermally aged Khaya and the fretboard is rosewood with white dot fretboard inlays. The rosette consists of several ABS rings. The nut and saddle are made of bone and the guitar has a high-gloss finish. The scale length is 25" (635 mm) and it is 6-string. The sound of the Ibanez AAM300CE-NT is supported by the in-house integrated Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp system and an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup. The pickup system features volume, bass and treble controls. In addition, the guitar is characterised by a soundport in the upper bout and Ibanez's own X-M bracing. The guitar ships from the factory fitted with D'Addario EXP16 strings, which are ideal for beginners.
