The Guild D-40 Traditional embodies the features that have made the D-40 one of the most popular and revered models. With a high-quality, solid Sitka Spruce top and a solid African Mahogany back and sides, wavy Adirondack bracing have been added for strength, nuance and responsiveness. The three-piece mahogany and walnut neck of the D-40 Traditional is crowned by an Indian rosewood fretboard and is joined to the body by an authentic dovetail joint. This classic dreadnought features a tortoise pickguard, rosette and binding, a genuine Guild mother-of-pearl shade and Chesterfield logo inlaid on the headstock, and nickel-plated open tuners. A shiny nitrocellulose lacquer gives this masterpiece an elegant finish and optimizes the beauty and resonance of the high-quality woods.
Included with the instrument is a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity and a hard case.
