The guys from Gamechanger Audio from Riga in Latvia have delivered again! Gamechanger Audio turns everything that has gone before on its head with their unconventional effect creations. The latest creation is dedicated to the topic of spring reverb: by carefully analysing conventional spring reverb devices, they have eliminated the weak points of convectional devices and drastically expanded the possibilities for intervention. As the name suggests, the Light Pedal works with light - the reverb spirals are scanned at several points by infrared sensors. The special thing about Hall spirals is the mechanical resonance when the input signal breaks off; a lot of energy has to be used to set the springs in vibration, which is missing in the output signal. The sensors utilise the entire range of the reverb coil, which makes completely new and interesting sounds possible. In addition to cool reverb sounds, quasi shimmer and tremolo/vibrato sounds can also be generated in combination with reverb, so there are no limits to creativity. As usual with Gamnechanger Audio, the Light Pedal is also visually stunning: a pulsating, coloured display illuminates the reverb spirals - like a device straight out of Frankenstein's laboratory - great!!!
