With the current actual stomp pedal inflation rate almost every guitarist has an extensive fleet of effects. In the earlier days, or was it last Saturday? effect pedals lay on the stage, huddled up and scared they might be catapulted across the stage by someones big feet. Combined with bad patch cables and adventurous power supplies it can be a little too exciting. Nowadays Pedalboards sort your gear out on stage. Many manufacturers have jumped on the Pedalboard train and offer a wide range of boards from small variants with three to four pedals to tailored, giant monster boards with two levels. Besides simple wood cases particularly the tough, lightweight aluminum constructions are in, using either a grid frame or a perforated plate construction. The pedals can be attached with hook and loop band, cable ties or special mounting plates on the pedalboard, depending on the manufacturer. For transport, the most pedal boards can be stowed in cases or stable Gig bags.
