Gold Foil pickups are simply iconic – this pickup type was used on many inexpensive Far East guitars in the 60s and 70s and impresses with its transparent, pearly twang sound. Fender has released a limited series of guitars and basses featuring this pickup dinosaur. The Gold Foil Jazz Bass EB 2TSB combines classic Jazz Bass looks with iconic 60s styling. The maple/ebony neck is bolted to the alder body, and the hardware is classic Jazz Bass. A gold foil single coil in the middle position provides the characteristic pearly twang.
