This sound captivated players like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, David Gilmour and Doyle Bramhall II, and remains highly sought after today. Until now, the best versions of these sounds were large and expensive, but that has changed with the Ultraviolet, the latest member of the Strymon family!
The Strymon UltraViolet is an extremely accurate recreation of the classic vibe sound that began with the original Shin-Ei Univibe in the late ’60s, yet it goes far beyond those originals in flexibility. Strymon has captured all the critical component interactions of the original down to the smallest nuance, and has also added a new Blend mode alongside the original Chorus (50/50) and Vibrato (100% wet) settings to offer a 70/30 Dry/Wet mix for a subtler effect. We’ve also added three different Bias settings that let you fundamentally alter the vibrato character to suit your sound.
