Roland VT-12
Product information "Roland VT-12"
The Roland VT-12 integrates a vocal Tuner, a recorder, a metronome, and a complete vocal training method. The VT-12 contains all the elements necessary for vocal training in an user-friendly handheld trainer.
The Roland VT-12 vocal tuner and trainer helps improve your vocal pitch, rehearse vocal harmony parts, and practice vocal performancess. Singing into an instrument tuner gives wild fluctuations in the readout, but Roland's VT-12 displays how flat or sharp you are with a readable display in semitone increments. It features an illuminated pitch meter with quick and accurate response. The display includes a meter that brightens as you approach correct pitch, and darkens as you move further away. The VT-12 features a guide tone triggerable with a button that covers a range of 24 semitones, and helps identify the correct pitch. The compact VT12 tuner and vocal trainer can detect two vocals at once, so you can practrice harmonies in real time.
You can also pre-record parts and rehearse them. The Roland VT-12 features ten user tracks each with ten minutes of recording time to record songs from a MP3 player and store them in the VT-12 for practice. Use the VT-12's Review feature with user tracks to record your voice along with the music to judge your performance.
Other features of the Roland VT-12 vocal trainer include a metronome, selectable audio exercises, a warm-up button and a book of exercises from the Berklee School of Music. Built-in microphone and speaker let you review your pitch against a pre-recorded track or exercise. It comes with 50 lessions from the Concone Op. 9 vocal training exercises. These voice exercises have piano accompaniment and melody guide tracks, with the Roland VT-12 simultaneously displaying your pitch alongside the pitch of the guide melody.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes. In the mid-1970s the JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier was developed, whose ultra-clear sound together with the built-in chorus effect won over both Andy Summers of The Police and Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica. Since then and to this day Roland have continuously expanded their catalogue across a wide range of fields such as digital pianos, grooveboxes, e-drums and synthesizers with high-quality and interesting products.
